Q. How old do you have to be to get a license?

A. Hawaii's law is ten years of age, accompanied by an adult.

Q. How old do you have to be to hunt by yourself?

A. Hawaii's law says 16 years of age.

Q. Is it legal to use a firearm in the state of Hawaii?

A. It depends on the property (usually private property).

Q. Are dogs required to hunt in Hawaii?

A. It isn't required, but it is useful if you have one for hunting pigs and birds.

Q. What can you hunt in Hawaii?

A. You can hunt feral pig, feral goat, deer, and game birds.

Laws and Regulations

The purpose for these regulations is to promote and regulate game animals in the state of Hawaii.

To hunt you need to have game tags for all the game animals you kill. You will need to have stamps for bird hunting. You can get application fee for your game tags and stamps. This link will have more information.
